Summary
Summary
Florence, a rainy afternoon. Inspector Anna Greco is called to the Grand Italia, where a well‑dressed guest lies dead behind a locked door in room 207. No wounds, no struggle—just a sealed window, a neat suitcase, an empty Tuscan whiskey bottle and, in the bathroom, two toothbrushes. Under the bed, medication that doesn’t all belong to the registered name.
Following thin leads—an alias that doesn’t fit, an unattended night desk, and a guest whose past collides with the victim’s—Anna traces a web of motives where accident, guilt and revenge blur. The truth hides in plain sight; the wrong conclusion could ruin the innocent.
