Een bezoek aan de kapper

Lisa’s hair becomes long and heavy. She wants a fresh look. She walks past a small hair salon near her apartment. On the sign it says: “Hairdresser – no appointment needed.” Lisa goes inside.

Inside, the salon is warm and the lights are bright. There are mirrors on the wall. Two people sit in chairs. They have a cape around their shoulders. A woman with short hair and friendly eyes comes to the counter.

“Hello,” says the woman. “Do you have an appointment?” she asks.

“Hello,” says Lisa. “No, I don't have an appointment. I am just passing by. Do you have time today? Can I have my hair cut today?”

The woman looks in a small appointment book. “Yes, we have time now,” she says. “Please sit down.” Lisa puts her bag on a chair and sits down in front of the mirror. The hairdresser puts a cape around her neck.

“What do you want?” the hairdresser asks. She gently touches Lisa’s hair.

Lisa thinks for a moment. “I want it shorter, please,” she says. “But not too short. Just a little. Maybe only the ends. And no bangs.”
