Straßeninterviews in Berlin

Today Tristan Medersburg is doing street interviews in Berlin. He works for a small news channel called Berlin City News. Tristan has a camera, a microphone, and a few questions. He wants to know who the people are, where they live, what they do, and how they feel today. He hopes that people will talk about their lives and their day.

The morning is bright. The streets are full. Many people go to work, to school, or to the market. At a bus stop in the city center, Tristan sees a woman in a red coat. She has a cup of coffee in her hand and looks at the old buildings. Tristan walks over to her in a friendly way. The camera is ready.

“Hello. My name is Tristan Medersburg. I am from Berlin City News. Today we are speaking with people in Berlin. We would like to hear a little about their lives. We also want to know how they feel today. May I ask you a few short questions?”

“Yes, gladly. My name is Leonie. I am twenty-nine years old. I live in Amsterdam. This week I am in Berlin because I have a new job. I work for a travel company from Utrecht and visit the office in Berlin. Today I am very excited because everything is new. I am also a little nervous. I want to do good work. But I am happy, and I already like Berlin.”

“That is nice. What do you do in your new job? Is this your first time in Berlin? And what would you like to do today after work, if you have time?”

“I help organize trips for people who come to Germany and the Netherlands. I speak with customers. I answer emails. I plan their days. It is not my first time in Berlin, but I do not know the city very well yet. After work, I would like to walk through Mitte, take photos, and maybe eat in a small restaurant.”

“That sounds very nice. Thank you very much for the conversation. I wish you a nice time in Berlin. And I hope that your new job goes well.”
