Wochenendpläne

The next day, on Friday, Giulia’s boss tells her that she has to work longer on Saturday. Giulia feels a little stressed. She does not want to cancel, but she also does not want to be late. She is not sure what she should do now.

In the evening she writes to Emma again. She is sorry, but she has to work longer on Saturday, so she asks if they can meet at six instead of five. Emma answers quickly that it is no problem. Six works well for her, and they can still go for a walk and maybe eat something.

On Saturday Giulia finishes work, hurries home, changes her clothes, and takes the bus to the park. At six o’clock Emma is already waiting at the entrance.

“Hello!” they say and hug each other. “It is so nice to see you.” They set off and talk about their week, their work, and little things.

Giulia feels happy. With only a few simple messages, they were able to plan the whole meeting for the weekend, change the time, and still make it possible.

After a while, they sit down on a bench with their ice cream. They watch the people in the park and laugh about small funny things that happened during the week. Giulia feels her work stress slowly disappear.

Emma tells Giulia about a new film she would like to see. Giulia says, “That sounds nice! Maybe we can go there together next weekend.” Emma nods and says, “Yes, let’s do that. I think it is nice to make plans with you.”

When it gets a little dark, they go to the bus stop. They hug each other and say, “See you soon!” On the way home, Giulia smiles. She is tired, but she is also very glad that they could still meet and spend time together.
