Une rencontre à Paris

Marie is in a café in Paris. She looks at her watch. It is three o'clock. She is early. Her appointment Philippe arrives at three fifteen. Marie is nervous. She drinks water and waits.

Marie is a teacher. She is twenty-eight years old. She teaches art in a high school. Her students are fifteen and sixteen years old. Some students like art. Some students come only because they have to come. Marie understands both types.

Sarah told Philippe about the red scarf. This helps Philippe to find her. Marie looks at the menu. Coffee costs two euros. Tea costs three euros. Wine costs five euros per glass. She repeats what she will say in her head.

A man walks towards the café. He has brown hair and glasses. He wears a blue jacket. He looks at the tables. Then he walks into a chair! "Oh! Sorry!" he says. Marie tries not to laugh. He sees her red scarf.
