Un nuovo giorno in ufficio

Marco has a new job in an office in Turin. He is still learning how everything works: the computer system, the meetings and, of course, the coffee breaks. Today is a normal Tuesday, but every small moment is a chance to learn something new.

At nine o’clock, Marco arrives at the office. He greets the receptionist and goes to his desk. His colleague Sara is already there. “Good morning,” he says. “How are you today?”

“Good morning,” Marco answers. “I’m fine, thanks. A bit tired, but everything is okay.” “And you?” he asks. “I’m fine too,” Sara says. “Come on, let’s get to work today,” she adds with a bit of enthusiasm.

Marco turns on the computer and checks his email. There is a message from his manager: a short meeting has just been scheduled for ten o’clock and she thinks it would be a good idea if Marco also joined.

At ten o’clock, Marco goes to the meeting room with his notebook. His manager explains a new project. It is a report that the team has to finish by the end of the week.

Sometimes Marco does not understand every detail. But he listens carefully and writes down the important sentences to read again later. He writes short notes like “deadline at the end of the week”, “new client”, and “sales statistics”.

At the end, the manager asks, “Any questions?”. Marco asks a simple question to check his part of the work. The manager answers and smiles. “Good question,” she says.
